Another V8 Supercar Show To Thrill Fans

The V8 will once again prove their mettle on this weekend’s race ate the Australian grand prix. Though this is a non-championship race, it will just be as exciting for the drivers and their fans, so says Jamie Whincup, V8 Supercar champion.

During the qualifying session last Thursday at the Albert Park street circuit, the Team Vodafone driver came first clocking at 1:57.931, a few milliseconds ahead of close rival, Garth Tander at 1:57.997. Greg Murphy, New Zealand’s top bet, became the third fastest in last Friday’s qualifying rounds at 1:58.248.

It may appear that the three sprint races this weekend is inconsequential in terms of the championship climb, but this fact hardly matters to the drivers especially Whincup, who thinks there are many drive to excel in and be on top. Only early this month, Tander had a double win in the Clipsal 500.

Moreover, everybody will be using their tires for this year because it is required. No one will be allowed to save attire set for another event. The race will be a good place to hone a good tire strategy since everybody will putting their good tires simultaneously.

Tander and Whincup are enjoying this early competition. Tander just recovering from his upsetting two rounds opening in the Middle East, propelled himself back into the championship race in Adelaide.
The V8 Supercar drivers are all excited with the challenges of the shoot out, which is a considerably difficult lap because they do not have the chance to drive their cars until the actual event. The track grip is very much different since the F1 blokes are on the track. They are all anticipating eagerly the rivalry especially with Whincup. This particular event has a very different set-up from what they normally are accustomed to.

In addition, Murphy is eager to make a good impression at Albert Park after failing to join in the season opening round in Abu Dhabi. They are eager to deliver to their fans what they have been promising for so long, which is the thrill and excitement.
